| The human race occupies a single planet. Every day we hear stories about the effects of human endeavors -- climate change, ecosystem destruction, and species extinction. Unless we begin to recognize the error of our ways and act to limit pollution, deforestation, and destruction of wild places, we will leave a much different and much less hospitable planet for our grandchildrens' grandchildren. Chateau Galena Photography's mission is to raise awareness of the natural places left on our planet and the species that still remain, in the hope of encouraging others to take an active interest in protecting that which humans have not yet affected. We hope that our photographs of animals in their natural surroundings touch you as they have us. In addition to our own efforts to promote conservation, 5% of all proceeds from the sale of images depicting animals will be donated to organizations dedicated to protecting our environment. Our mission to document the animals that need our help the most is ongoing, and we ask that you check back regularly as we continue to update these pages. In the last few months, we completed expeditions to: March 2005 -- Yosemite National Park (Landscapes) June 2005 -- Brooks Camp, Katmai, Alaska May 2005 -- Denali Region, Alaska We are currently processing images from these trips and expect to begin posting them to the website in the next few weeks. We have also begun planning our 2006 expeditions: Fall 2006 -- Northern Canada polar bears For more information, contact: Photo@ChateauGalena.com |
